Power Surge Protection

A power surge can happen at any time. They appear from several causes such as faulty equipment, storms, intense changes in voltage to a circuit or provide deficiencies from the electricity company. Due to increased complexity in electronic pipes, the slightest burst in electricity can result in substantial ruin to electric parts causing irreversible harm.

Often power surges are a consequence of an interruption in the flow of electricity, subsequently established again or directing electricity back into the infrastructure, such as by lightning. An earth cable’s purpose is to direct any extra current safely to the ground. The surge connection in the shield stays inactive until a bigger than normal voltage appears. This extra current is then safely diverted through the extra earth cable, right into the floor. This averts more current than normal from flowing into your appliances effectively ensuring they are protected from any harm which can result from power surges.
